Legislators tell MAMMA they need more research. What they mean, is they need clinical studies. There are no clinical studies (yet) for cannabis for autism. Until that happens, people who have used medical cannabis for their children (including adult children) can fill out the forms below and contribute their experiences to an unofficial clinical trial. Thank you.
From MAMMA's goals 2016: To conduct an informal clinical study measuring the effects of therapeutic cannabis for autism:
- Use the ATEC to track improvement in overall diagnosis (validity measures here)
- Overall palliative effects on measurable behaviors (SIBs, aggression, meltdowns and sleep)
- Overall positive effects on observable improvements (such as speech, focus, calm, relatedness, mood)
