High CBD:Low THC
ratios vary state by state and product may be in the form of isolates or CBD rich strains (choices are limited)
Even in the states that have whole plant laws, only Delaware has autism as a qualifying condition in it's own right.  However, 4 other states are "autism friendly".   In the 19 other legal states, your child must have a co-morbid qualifying condition, in order to get access to medical cannabis.
Here are some examples of co-morbid conditions that may be helpful in getting a red card (a medical cannabis patient's card)  for your child with autism:
  • seizures (1/3 of autistics have epilepsy)
  • bowel disorders (chrohn's, IBS, wasting syndrome, colitis are some of the gut related qualifying conditions allowed in various states)
  • severe pain
  • mitochondirial disorder (Georgia is the only state with this as a qualifying condition)
There are only a few states left in the United States that make absolutely no allowances for medical marijuana.  People in these states who need medical cannabis for autism are forced to move their families to a legal state, transport cannabis across state lines,, or buy their medicine on the black market.  All prohibitively difficult or federally illegal.
Patients who don't qualify or who need more THC, have no legal options in these states.
