Advocating for medical marijuana, especially when one's own child needs it, can be discouraging. Why can't Legislators see how logical it is to just let patients have a natural medicine that is undeniably safe and potentially very effective. It feels like our children are being used as pawns to further agendas that we do not advocate for - recreational - and being used by people who want to make money off our backs - pharmaceutical companies - or exert control over us - big government. How does one avoid these pitfalls of advocacy and in the meantime our children are destroyed for their (Legislators) lack of knowledge, and dare I say, compassion. A false sense of morality keeps some conservatives from embracing medical cannabis but they are misguided at best and hypocritical at worst. The information on this page and throughout this website are meant to help advocates make the case for medical cannabis to be legal and reasonably accessible with autism as a qualifying condition and avoid the pitfalls mentioned above. The motivation for Lawmakers to fully embrace changing the law starts with compassion, education and courage to do what's right.
